Mobile web growing, time to get on board?
comScore’s latest press release highlights the growing number of people accessing the internet via a mobile device. More than 22 million people access the internet via their phone everyday and more than 63 million access the internet on a mobile device every month.
Clearly mobile internet is starting to take off, likely because of the iPhone and RIM’s increasing Blackberry Sales. Nokia, Blackberry, and Apple all have application stores, where content providers can list and sell their applications. Establishing your brand early may be the key to success in the mobile internet application market.
Advertisers should be looking to purchase inventory on mobile platforms. Look for inventory prices to become more competitive in 2009.
If you’re are looking to enter the market early, you won’t be ahead of the curve for long. Adapt your brand to fit the mobile medium soon, or you might miss the wave.
